Ahuroa Forest
Acquired from the Rural Bank in 1991, Ahuroa Forest, formerly under the ownership of North Auckland Forests, spans 133ha (328 acres) along the West Coast Road, accessible from State Highway 16. Entirely dedicated to Radiata Pine, the planting initiative commenced in 1974 and concluded by 1976. Since then, meticulous management practices have been consistently applied, with most age classes pruned to a height of 5.4 meters.
