Improved results slip away in southern squall

Monday, January 17th, 2011

After what seemed like a long break from the track since round 2, the ITM Racing team hit the track on Friday for a shakedown and hot laps.  “With the new suspension parts installed, the feel of the car was greatly changed, and with some tuning, I am sure it will be faster” said Andrew.

The first test session on Saturday was all about getting to grips with the new adjustments and finding a balance window.  With the ITM Commodore responding well, Andrew improved from 11th in the first session to 9th in the second session.  (more…)

Tough start to the season

Monday, November 8th, 2010

After a busy couple of weeks rebuilding the ITM Commodore, it was a relief to see 70 being unloaded from the transporter on Friday morning.  Heading into the first test session on Saturday morning, the car felt balanced but Andrew was unable to get to the same pace that he had at Pukekohe last season.  The team worked to iron out the minor issues from the rebuild but a quick time proved elusive.
