Anderson aiming to crack top ten
This weekend sees the ITM Racing team return to the track at the world’s southernmost FIA approved motor racing circuit, Teretonga Park. Arriving a couple of days early for this weekend, the team will carry out routine servicing and also take the chance to install some new Holden homologation parts approved over the new year period. In an effort for the class to address the parity issue, the category has undertaken some controlled testing over the last month and has approved these upgrades to address some of the Holden handling issues.
“The reports from the testing have been positive so I am eager to see how they will improve the ITM Commodore’s performance. We have been making progress with the car’s handling but with the level of competition in the class, you cannot afford to be less than 100%” commented Andrew.
“Teretonga is a track that I enjoy. It rewards commitment and is a fast flowing circuit which I like. It suits the ITM Commodore so I am focussed on a solid result.”
Currently a mere 22 points adrift of the top ten, the goal for the weekend is to come away in the top ten. A great way to achieve that will be to put the ITM Commodore inside the top five for the weekend and push for a podium result. “A top ten result is what I am looking at as a minimum, but I am aiming for top five for this weekend.”
