After a night to think about yesterday’s sessions, Andrew was confident of building on his performance to date. The team had reviewed the data overnight and had found some gains which would make the car more stable over the mountain.
With two sets of new tyres, Andrew headed out to warm them up and put down a strong qualifying time. Starting his first flying lap, Andrew locked the front left going into turn 1 which later showed to be through the canvas. Pressing on, Andrew was able to complete a couple of flying laps but felt that the car lacked turn in. After visiting the pits, swapping tyres and adjusting sway bars, it was back out to try again.
