Our Roundwood facility located in Kumeu, North West of Auckland operates treatment facilities on site in which CCA, Boron and ACQ treatment processes are catered for. These are water-borne preservatives CCA (Copper, Chrome, Arsenate) and ACQ (Alkaline, Copper, Quaternary).

Pinepac is a member of the Timber Preservation Council, Woodmark and offer a 50 year guarantee on all treated timber products, from rot or decay treated H1 – H5 hazard classes.
Treated Radiata Pine can be as durable in a variety of situations as naturally durable tropical hardwoods which are not readily available.
Pre-dried pine timber is placed in a pressure cylinder where a vacuum is applied to extrude air from the cells of the timber. The cylinder is then flooded with preservative and pressure applied to force solution into the cells. This process takes two to three hours. After the pressurising process is complete, a final vacuum is applied to extract any surplus chemical. The timber is then left to rest on the drip pad before it can be removed for sale.
Pinepac timber carries the WOODmark® trademark, meaning that our treated timber products conform to the highest standards required by the New Zealand Timber Preservation Council including treatment to NZS 3640.
Only treatment plants that are licensed by the council may use the WOODmark® brand.
