Kiln Drying

kilns-useRadiata Pine, in its natural state, is suitable for various value-added processing. Utilizing modern kiln-drying and preservation techniques, processed Radiata Pine meets the standards set by New Zealand building codes such as NZS 3603 and NZS 3604.

Our three high-temperature kilns can efficiently dry 50mm thick Radiata Pine from a green 120% moisture content to a kiln dry 18% moisture content within 24 hours. Additionally, poles can undergo kiln drying or steam conditioning before treatment, with our kilns processing over 27,000m3 annually.

We employ the Dryzone in-kiln moisture measurement system, enhancing operators' ability to monitor the drying process accurately. This ensures energy efficiency and consistent drying quality.

Pinepac's kiln-dried timber bears the NZ Dri-brand, signifying compliance with internationally recognized quality standards. This assurance guarantees consistent high-grade kiln-dried timber suitable for re-manufacturing processes, meeting performance expectations with confidence.
